It is with a heavy heart that I share my decision to end my campaign for congress. Before I say anything else, I would like to thank our donors, volunteers, and supporters who made it possible to get this far. This has been one of the most difficult, beautiful, taxing, and rewarding experiences of my life.
Needless to say, the latest congressional map set forth by the Ohio Redistricting Commission played a large role in my decision. It would be imprudent to ask our team and our supporters to fight against a gerrymandered map.
Still, no decision is made in a vacuum. After taking stock of my family’s needs and our wellbeing, I know that this course of action is what’s best for us.
Though this year and this race were not meant to be, I will be back. This campaign was about more than just a single election or political office. I still believe that Northeast Ohio deserves far, far better. I look forward to continuing my fight as a private citizen for now.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support. If I can ever be of service, please do not hesitate to reach out.
